About me

I’m so glad you found me. I’m Becca, a natural light photographer in Weston, Massachusetts. I cover a mix of genres including (but not limited to): headshots, personal branding, senior/yearbook, families and kids, couples/engagements, maternity, dating app photos, and outdoor events.

One of my super powers is putting people at ease. At the end of a session clients will often tell me “That was so much fun” with a mixed look of surprise and empowerment in their face. Photo shoots SHOULD be fun! My shoots are relaxed and playful, as I seek to connect with my clients. I want to capture joy and authenticity, but I also want to meet people where they are - mentally, spiritually, and physically. Shoots are designed around you, and your needs and preferences, but they are also a collaboration between us. Does music relax you, help distract you, or get you pumped up? Spotify to the rescue. Unsure what to wear or how to do your hair? Clients often send me photos of their outfits and we work together until styling (head to toe) is on point.

It’s great to get some shots with everyone neatly posed, looking at the camera and smiling, but I find that the magic happens in the candid, un-posed moments.

A photographer must have good instincts. Great photos are not just about making people look their best - context is key. When a startup founder comes to me for headshots, I spend time learning about their work, and who they are, to ensure that their images fit the existing framework they are working in. Sometimes they have a NEW framework to work within, and we must collaborate to determine which new direction to go.

I want your photos to be amazing - as much as you do! What you will discover working with me is that I’m a warm, intuitive person with an open heart. I’m a mom of two kids, and I understand the challenges of taking family photos. Every session I shoot is completely different, and one of my skills is improvising and making adjustments as we go. Two year old having a melt down? I got tricks for that. Kids are anything but predictable. I use my improvisation skills with adults, too.

As someone who doesn’t love being in front of the camera myself, I understand the anxiety. I will help you feel confident as we work together and see what works.

As a creative, I’ve always seen the world in a different way. Much of that creativity is due to a screen-free, “boring” childhood. As a kid I’d spend hours writing stories and illustrating them. I composed songs, directed plays, and started my own fashion line. I was a 70’s/80’s kid who grew up in rural upstate New York, so there wasn’t much to do, and I lived inside my imagination. I hold a BFA from Emerson College in Boston - a communications and performing arts school, and a very unique place. At Emerson, creativity and personal expression is valued, and treated as something we should strive to nurture and grow.

Photography allows me to express my creativity, and the bonus is I get to meet lots of people. Every person has a story, and my goal is to tell that story through images.

I welcome people of all backgrounds. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally. As someone who is well versed and well educated in neurodiversity, I welcome that community.

Shoot me a message. I can’t wait to meet you!
